Acceptable use policy

The rules for what you may upload to Formalini and how the service may be used.

Last updated: 15 September 2026

What you may upload

Upload documents you own or are authorised to process: receipts, invoices, contracts, forms, inspection sheets, delivery notes and similar paperwork. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process any personal data those documents contain.

What is not allowed

The following uses are prohibited and may lead to suspension.

  • Uploading documents you have no right to process, or scraping documents belonging to other people.
  • Special-category data (health, biometrics, political or religious views) unless your plan and agreement explicitly cover it.
  • Using extracted data to make a fully automated decision with legal or significant effect on a person without human review.
  • Attempting to break isolation between workspaces, probing other accounts, or bypassing quotas, rate limits or billing.
  • Uploading malware, or content that is unlawful, fraudulent or infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Reselling or repackaging the service without a written agreement.

Fair use of processing capacity

Plans include a monthly allowance of AI credits and storage. Automated bulk processing beyond your allowance, or traffic that degrades the service for others, may be rate limited. We contact you before restricting a paid account except where there is an immediate security or abuse risk.

Reporting and enforcement

Report abuse to abuse@formalini.com. Where we find a breach we may remove content, restrict a feature, suspend an account, and where required report to authorities. Serious or repeated breaches end the agreement.
